Pharmaceutical Blister Film Portfolio

Sustainable film solutions across PET, PP, and HDPE—designed for performance and seamless processing

kpNext® pharmaceutical films bring together a versatile portfolio of blister solutions designed to support both sustainability goals and performance requirements. Spanning PET, PP, and HDPE structures, each film is engineered for compatibility with established recycling streams while delivering the forming, sealing, and barrier characteristics expected in pharmaceutical packaging. The result is a practical, scalable approach to advancing more sustainable blister packaging—without compromising efficiency on existing production lines.

kpNext® R1

kpNext® R1 is a PET-based pharmaceutical blister film designed for compatibility with the #1 recycling stream, offering a practical path toward more sustainable packaging without disrupting existing operations. Engineered as a plug-and-play solution, it runs on standard thermoforming equipment while maintaining the clarity, formability, and seal performance expected for pharmaceutical applications. By combining familiar processing with a structure aligned to PET recycling, kpNext R1 helps simplify the transition toward more sustainable blister packaging at scale.

kpNext® RB5/RB5.1

kpNext® RB5 and RB5.1 are polypropylene-based blister films designed for compatibility with the #5 recycling stream, offering a balance of sustainability and performance for pharmaceutical packaging. These materials deliver reliable thermoforming and sealing characteristics while supporting applications that require enhanced moisture and oxygen barrier performance, particularly with RB5.1’s EVOH layer. With processing similar to conventional PP structures, kpNext RB5 and RB5.1 provide a practical solution for transitioning to polyolefin-based blister packaging without sacrificing efficiency or product protection.

kpNext® RB2

kpNext® RB2 is an HDPE-based blister film designed for compatibility with the #2 recycling stream, expanding sustainable packaging options within the kpNext® portfolio. It offers a durable, chemically resistant structure with barrier performance suited for a range of pharmaceutical applications, while maintaining reliable thermoforming and sealing behavior. By leveraging a familiar polyolefin platform, kpNext RB2 enables a practical shift toward HDPE-based blister packaging without compromising processing efficiency or product protection.

Why kpNext® Films

kpNext® pharmaceutical films are designed to make the transition toward more sustainable blister packaging practical, not theoretical. By combining compatibility with established recycling streams and proven processing performance, the kpNext portfolio enables pharmaceutical manufacturers to move forward with confidence—without sacrificing efficiency, quality, or reliability on existing production lines.
